Attain Partners welcomes Brian Miller to our Strategic Transformation Services team of experts
Brian Miller joined us in June as our Workday Business Development leader bringing over 15 years of experience to the role. In his role, Brian works directly alongside Reshma Patel-Jackson, Partner and Practice Lead of Attain Partners’ Strategic Transformation services.
Attain Partners sat down with Brian to learn more about his background and what excites him about his new role.
Attain Partners (AP): How did you become interested in ERP implementations?
Brian Miller (BM): I’ve always been interested in helping organizations leverage technology to become more efficient, learn to do more with less, and create more time to focus on their goals and mission.
AP: What did you do before joining Attain Partners?
BM: I spent almost 15 years selling into the nonprofit and higher education verticals—12 of those years at Blackbaud—and then the year prior to joining Attain Partners, I was the regional Sales Manager for the nonprofit vertical at Collaborative Solutions where I worked with the Workday Nonprofit team.
AP: What excited you about joining Attain Partners?
BM: What has excited me the most is the people I have met along the way and since joining—everyone is super smart, professional, helpful, and very welcoming. Attain Partners also has a very talented executive leadership team.
AP: Which of our seven core values speaks to you the most?
BM: Probably two of them. First, Be the Best because it’s so important to meet commitments and do what you say you will—because actions do speak louder than words. Second, Obsess Externally, because I do believe our number one focus is serving prospects and clients as well as the communities in which we live and work.
Giving back is important to me and I have volunteered with and supported many nonprofit organizations including Meals on Wheels, Alzheimer’s Association, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tunnel to Towers, 911 Memorial, and others. I also volunteer with a search and rescue team based in Lexington, South Carolina, called Legacy K9 Detection with my certified cadaver dog, K9 Remi.
I also have a long history with Meals on Wheels. I began volunteering there with my stepfather when I was 12 years old. I helped to deliver meals to recipients on a walkable route after school—my grandfather (a double amputee) was a recipient on the route.
AP: What do you like most about the work you do?
BM: Helping organizations solve business challenges, remove data silos, improve efficiencies, and create more time to focus on their missions.
AP: What are the most significant ways you’ve seen ERP transformations impact organizations?
BM: ERP transformations have such a profound impact they often touch multiple aspects of an organization, including improved workforce visibility, a unified solution for HR and Financial functions with mobile access, improved reporting capabilities, and access to real-time data. All of these areas improve efficiency and provide more time for focusing on the organization’s mission.
