About the Panelists
Alexander Brown is the Practice Lead for the Product and Innovation business at Attain Partners. Alexander is responsible for the full product lifecycle of the Attain Apps product line, which features the firm’s cornerstone intellectual properties distilled into easy-to-use SaaS products. With a background in economics, and experience as a designer, developer, and consultant himself, Alexander works hand-in-hand with subject matter experts and developers to create products that provide academic and research institutions with best practices and insights in an affordable and convenient package.
In addition to leading the team behind the Attain Apps product line, Alexander supports Attain Partners’ transition to an asset-powered consultancy through the creation of internal tools, training, and new data-driven offerings.
Prior to joining Attain Partners, Alexander worked at IBM striving to bring emerging technology and modern design practices to federal consulting customers. During his time in this role, Alexander developed his passion for supporting mission-driven organizations. Alexander received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from George Washington University.
Wallace Davis is a Partner at Attain Partners and a founding member of Attain. Wally has been serving the higher education, nonprofit, and academic medical center communities for nearly 30 years, and is a market leader in developing strategic initiatives on a national level for his clients. He has been a trusted business advisor to over 75 premier universities, academic medical centers, research hospitals, and other non-profit research institutes.
Wally’s area of expertise is assisting organizations in managing their research enterprise. Specifically, facilities and administrative cost recovery, grants management, regulatory compliance, standing up a new organization, mergers, stabilization of the Oracle Cloud Projects module, and the implementation of web-enabled software tools such as a research density dashboard and space utilization software solutions.
He is nationally recognized as an expert in assisting organizations to develop facilities and administrative proposals and representing clients in negotiating F&A rates. Wally is a passionate speaker on these topics, and presents regularly at SRAI, NCURA, and regional cost accounting conferences.
