Obsessing Externally for the National Kidney Foundation
As part of our core values, The Attain Way, Attain Partners is dedicated to obsessing externally, giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Once again, Team Attain laced up for the 2024 Kidney Walk on Saturday, October 26, to support the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and its crucial mission to provide early diagnosis, treatment, and support to the 37 million Americans living with chronic kidney disease. Led by Ellen Walsh, Partner and Board member of the NKF Serving the National Capital Area & Virginia, and Kyle Cadieux, Senior Manager at Attain Partners, Team Attain earned recognition as a leading corporate fundraiser for the Capital Area Kidney Walk. Attain Partners participates in the Kidney Walk—both in-person and virtually—to raise funds and increase awareness by hosting various internal and external events in the lead-up to “Walk Day.”

From events like “Headshots and Happy Hour” to “Zumba with Gil Tran,” these virtual and local initiatives have not only raised funds for a vital cause but have also drawn together team members across the nation in support of NKF, contributing to a total company donation of over $13,000. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our team captains, Ellen Walsh and Kyle Cadieux, as well as our top fundraisers, Reshma Patel-Jackson, Jessica Schein, and Suzanne Alstadt. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated, participated, and supported our efforts on behalf of the NKF.

Starting from Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC, the 2024 National Capital Area Kidney Walk featured the choice between a two-mile and four-mile route. The two-mile route led walkers around the Washington Monument, while the four-mile path extended towards the Tidal Basin, passing the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, continuing to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, and then looping back to the Washington Monument for the final stretch back to the starting line. The beautiful, crisp October morning brought together teams and individuals dedicated to honoring friends, family, and loved ones who have faced or are currently battling kidney disease.
“It was a great experience to be a part of the Kidney Walk and support Attain Partners alongside NKF. I felt that I honored my uncle, who passed away late last year after a lifelong battle with kidney complications, as well as my father, who is currently facing kidney disease.“
Catherine Cho, Office Coordinator, Attain Partners
Through our leadership and community engagement, Team Attain continues to promote the power and impact of the National Kidney Foundation through efforts like the Kidney Walk to amplify public awareness about kidney disease and the importance of organ donation. Our involvement in various events leading up to Kidney Walk Day has fostered a strong sense of community, encouraging others to join in and promote kidney health. Being recognized as the Top Corporate Fundraiser of 2024 underscores our team’s commitment and effectiveness in driving meaningful change in the fight against kidney disease.
