About the Coaches
Sue Erickson is a leadership coach, facilitator, and former library director with deep expertise in organizational well-being, team development, and change management. With experience in higher education, federal government, non-profit, and commercial sectors, she helps leaders and organizations grow, learn, and navigate transitions with confidence. Her work emphasizes aligning strategic planning with core values and drawing on individual and team strengths to create collaborative, high-performing cultures where people thrive.
Erickson’s expertise includes coaching leaders on complex dynamics, building resilience and emotional intelligence, and guiding organizations through change in ways that minimize disruption and strengthen trust. As an experienced facilitator, she is skilled in leading group discussions, resolving conflict, and encouraging diverse perspectives to foster innovation. She has designed and delivered leadership development programs that support growth at both individual and organizational levels. Her coaching practice is underpinned by certifications, including the Polarity Approach for Continuity and Transformation (PACT)™, The Leadership Circle Profile, GENOS Emotional Intelligence, ThetaCORE, and the International Coaching Federation’s Professional Certified Coach credential. She also holds a Certificate in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Wellbeing from George Mason University.
Kristin D. Vogel is a leadership coach, consultant, and strategist specializing in adaptive and regenerative leadership, organizational culture, and systems thinking. With decades of experience in higher education, libraries, government, and nonprofits, she understands the realities leaders face inside complex institutions. Drawing on training from Stanford University’s GSB LEAD Certificate in Corporate Innovation, Polarity Thinking Mastery (PACT)™, and mindfulness and meditation, she helps leaders navigate change, surface hidden dynamics, and use power with integrity to foster clarity, renewal, and collaboration. Her work emphasizes leveraging technology with human creativity to support thriving, future-ready organizations.
Vogel’s expertise includes integrating tested models, such as the Adaptive Cycle, to guide renewal in complexity. She applies her training as a Lean Continuous Improvement Practitioner to align practices with impact and value, and brings expertise as an IDI Qualified Administrator to help teams grow cultural agility and strengthen connection across differences. Certified as a Transformational Coach Professional through the Institute for Coaching Innovation (ICF-accredited), she develops leaders’ capacity for empathy, authenticity, and lasting transformation. Vogel’s career includes recognition as a Fulbright Scholar in Bahrain and a FUSE Fellow in local government innovation. She is also the creator of The Joy Pathway, a framework for equanimity, flourishing, creativity, and sustainable growth.
