Francis Quinn serves as Senior Principal and Enterprise Advisory Capability Lead at Attain Partners. He is a globally experienced executive with a proven track record of managing cloud-based technology product development, and client implementations. Francis joined Attain Partners to serve as the Director for the USM MD Connect Program, managing the complex enterprise transformation for the consortium of five universities. In this role, Francis leads the Attain Partners team to deliver program management, organizational change management, and staff augmentation support as the consortium implements a single instance of Workday Financial Management and Human Capital Management systems.
To date, he has more than 10 years of experience in private equity-backed, high potential companies looking to grow rapidly with a successful IPO, a carve out, and a sale achieved. He has lived and had leadership roles in Asia, Europe, and today in North America where he successfully led large-scale transformative ERP programs in complex multi-stakeholder organizations in the private and the public sectors.
He possesses strong financial acumen, including financial management of large transformational projects with in-depth understanding of budgeting, cost controls and financial systems. His track record of outstanding client relationship management is well established, as well as a proven ability to develop, plan and deliver on time and on budget.
At Unit4/Thesis, he led Professional Services and Customer Success delivery by global team of consultants and project managers to customers in North America, EMEA, and LATAM: including go-to-market strategy, Profit and Loss (P&L), Revenue Retention, Net Revenue, pipeline management, and implementation of SaaS Student Information Solution.
Previously, he was the Executive Program Director at Iowa State University with overall responsibility for the simultaneous implementation of Workday Financials, Payroll, Human Capital Management, and Grants Management. This once-in-a-generation initiative improved the effectiveness and efficiency of 16,000 employees at this tier 1 research institution through a combination of streamlining and modernizing business processes, workforce skill refresh and updating, and deploying state-of-the-art technology platforms.
At Workiva, he directed the design, development, and rollout of a cloud-based platform for enterprise reporting (operating and financial data), leading operations and strategic direction with full responsibility for bottom-line factors, including long-range planning, global product management, and software development processes. Francis personally led deployments at clients including Coca-Cola, Bank of America, and McDonalds. Today, this platform is used by more than 2,600 enterprise customers, including over 60% of both the Fortune 100 and Fortune 500. Additionally, Francis successfully launched Workiva’s Initial Public Offering on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) during his tenure.
Francis began his career as a research fellow at the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry where he led a public-private partnership that included Toyota, Mitsubishi Chemical, and Seiko. In 1996, he joined L’Oréal in Paris, France, where he led the integration of The Body Shop into L’Oréal Group. Subsequently, he developed the company’s global sustainable growth strategy as Global Director of Sustainable Development.
He holds 30 patents, authored books. and whitepapers on investment policies for cutting-edge technologies, consolidating competitivity in international markets, sustainable growth strategies, and disruptive innovation. His original research in the fields of nanotechnology and biomimetic polymer materials are published in peer-reviewed journals.
Francis has a Ph. D. in physics from Trinity College, Dublin, and currently lives with his wife and two children near Dallas, Texas.
