Attain Partners (AP): How did you become passionate about CRM solutions and Salesforce Innovation?
Alanna Steffens (AS): I started in the tech field and knew that if I wanted to be able to bridge functional with technical, I had to skill up my tech chops, and the functional would come. What started as a Google search for a new business analyst position quickly turned into learning Salesforce from scratch and learning how to apply the power of the platform to solve business challenges. When I realized that Salesforce was clicks, not code, yet I could use my analytics and software engineering background, it was nonstop from there, quickly scooping up certifications and pushing myself to keep learning.
AP: How do you leverage your role with Attain Partners to create an impact?
AS: I aim to create impact by constantly seeking out opportunities for the team to thrive. This could be through ensuring they have access to the latest technologies, so they become experts in the field, or by providing them with mentoring and coaching opportunities to help them grow. I believe that impact is truly measured by the positive influence you can have on others and the extent to which you can empower teams to reach their full potential.

AP: Which of our seven core values speaks to you the most?
AS: I’d say the core value that resonates most with me is Execute with Discipline. To me, this value carries an underlying sense of urgency—delivering exceptional results to our clients is paramount, and that requires both rigor and discipline. In my role, I strive to create an environment at Attain Partners that supports the team, empowering them to do their best work and achieve successful outcomes for our clients.
AP: What do you like most about the work you do?
AS: I take great pride and find a sense of accomplishment when we not only meet our client commitments but also build strong, cohesive teams along the way. It’s about more than just delivering a simple statement of work; it’s about working closely with our clients to intentionally align with their objectives and ensure successful outcomes. This includes addressing people’s impacts, implementing new processes, and leveraging technology to elevate how they achieve success.

AP: What are the biggest ways you’ve seen Salesforce initiatives impact organizations?
AS: Salesforce has been a game-changer for many organizations, driving transformative change in both their operations and the lives of the people they serve. While Salesforce is technically a platform that can manage nearly every aspect of an organization’s operations, its true power lies in how it encourages organizations to think strategically and innovate.

By streamlining processes and automating routine tasks, it frees up time for teams to focus more on the constituents they serve, ultimately enabling a deeper and more meaningful impact. Salesforce empowers organizations to not only operate more efficiently but also to drive their missions forward with greater effectiveness and purpose.
AP: What do you enjoy outside of work?
AS: My three kids and their activities keep us entertained. I volunteer as a coach for my two sons’ soccer teams and cheer on my daughter in her latest volleyball adventures. I started a book club in my community recently as a way to meet new people and continue my love of reading.
