Attain Digital welcomes Justin Green to serve the nonprofit sector

Attain Partners is thrilled to welcome Justin Green to serve as the Nonprofit Business Development Director for Attain Digital. In his role, he will work alongside Managing Director and Nonprofit Market Lead Kristi Phillips to accelerate the impactful missions of our nonprofit clients.
Attain Partners (AP): How did you get into nonprofit work/business development?
Justin Green (JG): In 2016, I moved from the higher education tech sector to a nonprofit in Atlanta. I really enjoyed the work I did indirectly helping other nonprofits increase their capacity through volunteerism, and I saw firsthand how powerful technology could be for nonprofits to help them better meet their missions. A teammate of mine moved into the Salesforce for Nonprofits consulting space, and I liked the idea of working with many different impact organizations. Fast forward over seven years in the space and here we are!
AP: What did you do before joining Attain Partners?
JG: I’ve spent the last seven-plus years in a few different business development roles at consulting firms in the Salesforce for Nonprofits ecosystem, including sales and partnerships and alliances.
AP: Which of our seven core values speak to you the most?
JG: I’d have to say it’s a tie between Invent the Future and Team for Speed. I am passionate about the work that so many nonprofits do to solve social problems, and am grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in creating more local and global impact with these fantastic organizations. When you combine a hopeful, impact-focused approach with a collaborative mindset, that is a recipe for lasting change and a better world. Technology has the power to help the true game-changers at nonprofit organizations—the people—to create a better world with more velocity and with better results, and I think those two values perfectly embody that belief.

AP: What do you like most about working in the nonprofit and technology space?
JG: I enjoy meeting and collaborating with people who are passionate about mission-driven work, and I enjoy seeing the impact that our clients create. It’s heartening to work with great people doing great things—being able to connect problems with solutions to help those people better do their work is empowering.
AP: What are the biggest ways you’ve seen digital transformation initiatives impact nonprofit organizations?
JG: Nonprofits are often asked to do more with less, and digital transformation enables that. But it also allows organizations to better understand their constituents and the communities they serve, to better assess outcomes and impact, and to report about and promote the incredible work they are doing. By having more efficient operations, better data, and better outcomes, nonprofits can flip that narrative and demonstrate to funders and donors that the work they are doing is critical and deserves support.
AP: What do you enjoy outside of work?
JG: I’m a musician and amateur tinkerer, and I’m almost always mid-stream on one home improvement or backyard farm project or another. I love spending time with my wife and kids and our dogs, cats, and chickens, and I love to learn and try new things.

Justin Green is a Business Development Director at Attain Partners, serving the nonprofit sector of Attain Digital. For over a decade, Justin has helped steward organizations to better outcomes with technology. Justin has worked with nonprofits and higher education institutions to better meet their missions, most recently in the Salesforce for Nonprofits consulting space. He brings a technical mindset to business development and likes to work with organizations as an advocate throughout their technology adoption journey. He is passionate about helping organizations solve social problems and firmly believes in the power of technology to do good. He holds four Salesforce certifications and is always learning.
