Job Description
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft / Salesforce Integration SME to lead and support enterprise integration efforts across ERP and CRM platforms. This role will serve as the primary subject matter expert for aligning business requirements with integration architecture and best practices using iPaaS tools such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar platforms.
Job Type: Contract (1099), 20 hrs/week
Job Responsibilities
- Lead integration design sessions between PeopleSoft and Salesforce environments, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.
- Analyze current-state architecture and define future-state integration architecture leveraging modern iPaaS tools.
- Configure and support integrations using platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, and/or Azure Data Factory.
- Define integration patterns, data mapping, transformation logic, and API strategy.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and performant integrations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration workflows and data synchronization issues.
- Establish best practices for error handling, logging, security (OAuth2, SSL), and API governance.
- Support performance tuning, capacity planning, and environment configuration for integration platforms.
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to client technical teams.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system integrations, specifically with PeopleSoft and Salesforce platforms.
- Proven experience with one or more iPaaS platforms (preferably Boomi and/or MuleSoft).
- Strong understanding of SOAP/REST APIs, Web Services, ETL processes, and data transformation logic.
- Experience in data mapping, schema design, and real-time/batch integration methods.
- Familiarity with security protocols and authentication methods (e.g., OAuth, SAML, SSL).
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications in Salesforce, Boomi, or MuleSoft.
- Experience working in Higher Education, Government, or Financial Services industries.
- Familiarity with data governance, MDM, and integration lifecycle management.
- Exposure to Agile delivery environments and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
